customize an evening out
just for youVisitors to Oahu wanting to spend their evenings in a fun yet efficient manner have a new source to count on.
Honolulu NiteLife Excursion, by Williams Brothers Enterprises, is offering escorted tours to a number of Honolulu restaurants, nightclubs and dance venues all in one evening. Transportation is included so guests don't have to worry about parking or traffic, said co-owner Mark Williams.
During the festive holiday season, locals might also want to call on the tour group as a way to celebrate without all the fuss, and, ahem, without worrying about police roadblocks.
The excursion focuses on as many as four "quality" stops a night that feature live entertainment, Williams said.
Honolulu NiteLife Excursion, which started up in June, uses a programmed database for local performers, styles of music and venues to help customers design "their own entertainment experience," Williams said. The company customizes excursions around the needs of any size group and a wide range of musical tastes.
"We want clients to decide exactly where they want to eat and where to play and we'll make it easy for them," Williams said.
NiteLife's customers are about 90 percent tourists, and customer age ranges from 25 to 40, he said.
Visitor rates begin at $35 for the excursion only to $65 a person for fine dining and "a night out on the town," Williams said. Kamaaina rates range from $20 for the excursion to $45 for a dining package. There are no cover charges for excursion guests. The dinner packages include tax and gratuity.
Customers normally are picked up from designated major Waikiki hotels about 7 p.m., then driven in either a mini-van, mini-bus or motor coach -- depending on the number of passengers -- to the Aloha Tower Marketplace, where they're given a complimentary cocktail at the Pier Bar.
Other than that cocktail, customers buy their own drinks.
From here, depending on the customer's request, the excursion proceeds to an entertainment venue and dinner at Nicholas Nicholas.
After dinner, the group travels to the Sheraton Waikiki to see The Krush and dance.
Other entertainment attractions available include a cruise aboard the Alii Kai Catamaran, the Hawaiian Hut Polynesian Show and special packages for dinner and the theater or Honolulu Symphony.
Nightclub visits also are available to the Eurasia Nightclub and Nashville Waikiki; dining packages also can include San Choy's, Big Island Steak House and Hard Rock Cafe.
NiteLife Excursions are being offered through many major tour companies, including Pleasant Hawaiian, MTI Vacations, Sheraton, United Vacations, American Express, Aloha VIP and Mary Charles and Associates. Kamaainas can book excursions by calling WBE Inc. at 671-8206.
NiteLife Excursions operates from 7 p.m. to midnight daily.
