Fun a-brewing

Tired of those turkey sandwiches, turkey burritos and turkey salad? Shipley's Ale House & Grill Brewer's annual festival offers a nice change of pace with beer, beer and more beer. Drinkers can enjoy more than 50 different brews from local brewpubs and microbreweries including Ali'i Brewing Co., Brew Moon, Gordon Biersch, Sam Choy's Big Aloha Brewery and Whaler's Brewpub. There also will be beer sausages from Spadaro's Sausage Co. and other food and entertainment.

Admission is free but script needs to be purchased and exchanged for food and drinks.

The event will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Manoa Market Place. A portion of the proceeds will go to Manoa Valley Theatre and The Surfrider Foundation. For information, call 988-5555.
