Olu Pua Botanical Gardens and Plantation in Kalaheo, Kauai,
will be offering its last public tours Nov. 20. The historic
plantation residence, designed by C.W. Dickey in the 1930s,
is set on 12.5 acres of gardens. A collection of Asian art is
displayed in the house. The estate will be used as a private
vacation property in the future. Tours of the house and grounds
take about an hour and begin each hour on the half hour daily
from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The fee is $12 for adults, $10
for seniors, $6 for ages 5-12, and free for ages up to 5.

Stock up at
HPR record sale

Music at bargain prices is what Hawaii Public Radio is offering at its "Almost New Record Sale" today through Sunday at the Kewalo and Kakaako rooms in Ward Warehouse.

CDs for $5, cassettes for $1 and LPs for $2 along with used audio equipment will be available. A $3 donation at the door will get you one free LP or two free audio cassettes.

HPR members get first crack at the merchandise from 5 to 7 p.m. today; the public can shop from 7 to 9 p.m. Hours on Saturday and Sunday will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

'Wonderful' opportunity

Tickets are available for Diamond Head Theatre's holiday musical "A Wonderful Life."

A vamped-up, musical reproduction of the classic Jimmy Stewart movie, the production runs at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, and 4 p.m. Sundays, Dec. 4 through 20.

The show features Randy Hubbard and Mary Hatch, and is directed by John Rampage.

Molokai hosts rodeo

The Molokai Ranch Professional Rodeo takes place at 6 p.m. today and 5 p.m. tomorrow at the ranch in Maunaloa.

Events in the Year of the Paniolo include bull riding, bareback and saddle bronc riding, double mugging, women's steer undecorating and keiki barrel racing.
