Wayne Y. Hamano is responsible for managing Bank of Hawaii's large Hawaii-based business clients and looking after activities of the corporate Hawaii, auto finance and cash management departments. He replaced Gary Iki, who became manager of the bank's credit services division.
Hamano has been in the bank's corporate division for three years and most recently was a vice president. Hamano joined the bank in 1977 as a corporate banking officer, before leaving to become chief operating officer at The Madden Corp., which operates Island Heritage publishing, for five years. He returned to Bank of Hawaii in 1993. Hamano earned a bachelor's in accounting from the University of Hawaii.
