Meet Joe Black: (PG-13) A remake of "Death Takes a Holiday" stars Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins. Pitt plays Death, suddenly curious about the the human lives he has ended for millennia.

Chiropractic college
presents information

Life Chiropractic College West presents a free information event for anyone interested in becoming a doctor of chiropractic, 6 p.m. Nov. 19 at Wong Family Chiropractic, 615 Piikoi St., Suite 801. Information on financial aid, course prerequisites, and student life at the San Francisco Bay area college will be presented.

"Around the world" cash: Team RE/MAX is offering four $10,000 college scholarships for California and Hawaii residents 18 and younger who are enrolled in kindergarten to grade 12. Students in grades two-12 must write an essay of 100 words or less. Kindergarten and first grade students are to draw a picture on "what it would be like to fly around the world in a balloon."
