Troubled entertainer Bryant "Mackey" Feary was arrested on two Family Court warrants hours before he was scheduled to perform at last night's Kalapana concert, police said.

Feary, 43, posted $4,000 bail and was released at 6 p.m. from the Honolulu Police Department's main cellblock.

He later sang with Kalapana at the Waikiki Shell in the first of a planned series of concerts marking the group's 25th anniversary.

Both warrants charged Feary with violating temporary restraining orders.

He is scheduled to appear in Family Court next Monday.

William Harrison, Feary's attorney, said today he did not know that his client had been arrested.

The prosecutor's office declined comment on details of the warrants.

Feary pleaded guilty to criminal property damage and two drug offenses for smashing his wife's car window last year at Waimalu Shopping Center.

Feary was sentenced to five years probation and served six months in jail.

Feary was in trouble last month as prosecutors moved to revoke his probation after he tested positive for crystal methamphetamine use.

But when Feary agreed to enter the 30-day Salvation Army Adult Treatment Services residential program, his probation officer recommended the revocation hearing be continued for 90 days.

His revocation hearing is scheduled for Jan. 28.
