Kaoru Raymond Nagata, 89, of Hilo, Hawaii, a retired foreman for the former Masaru Oda Painting Contractor, died Thursday at his home. He was born in Hilo. He also worked for S.K. Oda Ltd. and was a member of the Higashi Hongwanji Mission and the Lower Houselot Kumiai. He is survived by wife Ayako; sons Roy, Jerry, Edwin and Larry; daughter Shirley Sakata; three brothers Tsutomu, Sadamu and Isamu; sister Mitsue Kudo; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
