Trilogy continues

"Nanakuli," a play exploring the conflict of traditional and contemporary issues through the life of a Nanakuli family, opens tomorrow at Leeward Community College Theatre.

The play is the third in the trilogy of Hawaiian Style Theatre productions focusing on the culture and history of Leeward Oahu. The first play, "Waianae," was produced in 1991 and was followed in 1994 by "For Ewa."

Hula, music and chants are part of the production, which will be directed by Paul Cravath.

Showtime is at 8 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Nov. 12-14 and at 4 p.m. on Sunday and Nov. 15. Tickets are $11 for adults, $9 for students, senior citizens and military. They are available at the LCC box office, 455-0385.
