Halloween shirts by Crazy Shirts have
designs that glow in the dark.
Those innovative people at Crazy Shirt Hawaii -- in this case artist Desmond Dano, who also created Sharka, the Hawaiian Quilts designs and petroglyphs -- have come up with some Halloween designs for T-shirts that glow in the dark.
An ukulele playing "Halloween Skeleton" -- $22 in adult sizes up to XXL in black only -- has the image on both front and back. The shirt is available at Crazy Shirt stores on Oahu at Ala Moana and Pearlridge, and on Maui at Front Street and Lahaina Wharf. The kids' design -- $16 in S, M, and L sizes -- comes in athletic gray and is available only on Maui. Both shirts are available through the company's mail-order catalog.
The Oahu and Maui stores also have two more Halloween designs brought back from past years, including "Gecko Halloween" and "Happy Halau-ween" with hula dancing ghosts.
The company has developed a special Halloween "sleeve print" for the Lahaina stores only where a staff member will put a design of reflective ink on any shirt purchased at Crazy Shirts on the following days: 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at Lahaina Wharf and 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at 865 Front St.; noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Lahaina Wharf and 2 to 3 p.m. at the Front Street store; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Lahaina Wharf and 4 to 8 p.m. at Front Street.
