Jan Goessing took over as general manager of the Kahala Mandarin Oriental Hawaii this month with the goal to build on the hotel's reputation of quality. Building quality at Kahala Mandarin
"We will continue the route started two years ago (after extensive hotel renovation) and which has showed success in the last few months," Goessing said.
He has 17 years in hotel administration and recently was general manager of the Mandarin Oriental in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Goessing began his career at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski in Munich, Germany, and also worked for the Inter-Continental Hotel in Luxembourg, the Palmer House and Towers in Chicago, The Lafayette Hotel and The Colonnade Hotel in Boston, the Regent Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, Calif., and the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong.
He joined the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group five years ago.
