Susana Panergo Aday, 84, of Ewa Beach died Oct. 3 at Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi. She was born in the Philippines. She is survived by sons Domiciano and Rogelio; daughter Teodorica “Oding” Bermudez; brother Catalino Panergo; sisters Eustaquia Mangabat and Manuela Balingit; 26 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Masatoshi “Daru” Fukuda, 72, of Honolulu, a World War II Army veteran, died Oct. 17 at Kuakini Geriatric Care. He was born in Honolulu. He was a retired construction supervisor and a member of the B.T.I. Golf Club. He is survived by brothers Shigetoshi, Katsutoshi and Ernest; and sisters Harue Nakashima, Florence Imai and Clara Nakanishi. Services: 6 p.m. Thursday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary chapel. Casual attire. Eugene Kahalewai, 73, of Hilo, Hawaii, a construction worker, died Sept. 7 at the Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Kailua-Kona. He served as a sergeant with the Army's 82nd Airborne in Germany and was a member of the Senior Citizens in Hilo. He is survived by brothers William, Pedro, George, Phillip and Jerry Pai; sisters Annie Bailado and Annabel Pai; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Samuel Oak Sun Lee, 94, of Kaneohe, a retired truck driver for HC&D Forwarders International Inc., died Wednesday in Kaneohe. He was born in Eleele, Kauai. Albert K. Makekau, 74, of Honolulu died Oct. 14 in Kuakini Hospital. He was born in South Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Charlotte; son Albert “Jumbo” Jr.; daughters Marlene “Diddles” Kintaro, Charlene “Tweetie” Bush and Ginger Makekau; brothers David and Kenneth Makekau and Donald Keawe; sisters Marjorie “Tita” Perez, Barbara Kaapuni and Violet “Keala” Sarkisian; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Kazumi Moribe, 82, of Kaumakani, Kauai, a retired supervisor with Olokele Sugar Co., died Oct. 19 in Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital. He was also a self-employed farmer and taxidermist. He was born in Makaweli, Kauai. He is survived by wife Tsuruyo; sons Stanley, George, Dennis and Wesley; daughter Janie Kunimura; brother Yasuo; sister Tsuyako Urabe; and six grandchildren. Mary L. “Betty” Morris, 62, of Lihue, Kauai, a greeter with Wal-Mart Store, died Wednesday in Wilcox Hospital. He was born in Florida. Takejiro Takayama, 96, of Wailuku, Maui, a retired taxi driver, died Tuesday. Felix Vellina, 86, of Kihei, Maui, a retired truck driver for AMFAC, died Oct. 23 at his home. He was born in the Philippines.
