local entertainerJack Ross, 88, of Honolulu, longtime singer, musician, comic and entertainment manager, died Oct. 11 in Crawford's Convalescent Home. Born in Montreal, Canada, Ross is remembered here for his many shows at the Ilikai Hotel Hong Kong Junk and other Hawaii nightspots.
Ross & Co. was a six-member act marked by great versatility. Ross played trumpet and trombone. He also teamed up with singer Loyal Garner in island gigs.
The many-sided Ross was a 10-handicap golfer. He hosted invitational golf tournament on Maui and at Makaha.
He is survived by son Stephan Rothman and brothers Arthur Rotman and Mo Rothman.
Services will be at a later date on the mainland.
