Hawaii Pacific wins
13th straight match

The Hawaii Pacific women's volleyball team trimmed Millersville (Pa.), 15-0, 15-6, 15-3, last night at the St. Andrew's Priory gym to set a school record with its 13th consecutive victory.

Hai Yan Wang had 16 kills and Debbie Sant'Anna 11 for the Sea Warriors, who are 19-1 this season.

OAHU WOMEN NO. 2 IN NATIONALS: The HPTA Oahu team was edged by ITA Las Vegas, 3-2, yesterday in the women's title match of the USTA League Tennis 4.0 National Championships at Tucson, Ariz.

HPTA Oahu advanced to the final with a 4-1 victory over MATA Richmond, Va.

Members of the Oahu team were Loretta Damas, Barbara Nakata, Renee Ishida, Stephanie Matsunaka, Diana Sepplefrick, Debbie Story, Connie Chilton, Lani Fujimoto , Mary Burris and Margaret Peebles.

HPU EDGES CAL LUTHERAN: A goal by Dawn Ifuku at the 59-minute mark gave Hawaii Pacific a 1-0 women's soccer victory over California Lutheran yesterday at Atherton Field.

HPU goalkeeper Carissa Managan made seven saves as the Sea Warriors ran their season record to 5-4. Cal Lutheran is 10-3.

HAYASHI LEADS ISLE CLUB PROS: Kevin Hayashi of Hilo shot a 1-under-par 71 in the final round of the Western PGA Club Professional Championship at Sunriver, Ore., Saturday for a 72-hole total of 295, 10 strokes behind tournament winner Kim Thompson of American Fork, Utah.

Hayashi earned $1,137.50 and qualified for next year's national club pros championship with the best score among Hawaii golfers.

Mark Chapleski of Kapolei shot 76--298, Brendan Moynahan of Kapalua 75--299 and Marc Orlowski of Lanai 77--307.
