Enter ocean challenge

Hawaii students in grades K through university bachelor's degree level are eligible to enter The Wyland Ocean Challenge of America Contest.

Art work and creative writing essays are being sought, based on the theme "Malama I Ke Kai (Taking Care of the Ocean)." Winning entries will be printed in Hagadone Printing Co.'s 1999 calendar.

Send a clear photocopy of your creative writing essay, or photograph of your art work with your name, school, grade, address and phone number to: Hagadone Printing Co. Calendar Contest, Attn: Hazelyn Mahukona, 274 Pu'uhale Road, Honolulu, HI 96819. The deadline is Oct. 23. Entries will not be returned.
