Integrating high-tech
at Hawaii Medical

The Hawaii Medical Service Association has named Kidar N. Chadha to deal with its new technology.

"The major challenge is how to use new technology to our advantage and to improve services and reduce cost," Chadha said. "Next most important is how to develop our employees to use this technology."

He has 30 years of technology experience and worked for Northrop Grumman for more than 22 years. He most recently was executive manager in the company's data systems and services division at Hawthorne, Calif., and came to Hawaii in September.

Chadha earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from TIET university in India and a master's degree in structural engineering from Stanford University.

HMSA is a nonprofit, mutual benefit association, founded in Hawaii in 1938, which provides health care coverage.
