The Billabong World Junior Championship of surfing and the Billabong Girls championships will move from Kauai to west Oahu this year, contest officials announced today.

Billabong president Gordon Merchant and Randy Rarick, who is executive director of the Vans G-Shock Triple Crown of surfing said the two events will be held at Maili Point between Nov. 5 and 11.

The World Junior Championship is a team event that includes competitors in the 19-and-under age division.

The Billabong Girls contest is a four-star World Qualifying Series event and will be counted as the first of three women's contests in the Vans G-Shock Triple Crown of Surfing Championship Series.
