
In celebration of the birthday of Princess Ka'iulani Oct. 16, 1875, the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel presents a week of activities. Homage to a princess
The Princess Ka'iulani Keiki Hula Festival at 10 a.m. Sunday in the Ainahau Showroom, will feature young performers from hula schools across Oahu. Admission is free. Meanwhile, an arts and crafts fair will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Ainahau Lobby.
Honolulu artist Ronny Kilpatrick will display her work and create new portraits of Princess Ka'iulani from 9 a.m. to noon Monday and Thursday and 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 17 on the hotel Dolphin Lanai.
The Pikake Terrace restaurant offers a five-course "Flavors of Hawai'i" dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. The $45 cost includes a keepsake.
On Oct. 16, a program running 4:30 to 9:45 p.m. at the poolside Lava State will showcase performers from Ka'iulani Elementary School.
