He has 13 years of data processing experience and recently was a partner and chief operations officer for West Tech Software Co., a Honolulu-based company dealing with computers. Wides also worked with Imaging & Workflow Specialists Co. and as Hawaii operations manager for Mission Research Corp. He earned a bachelor's in business administration/accounting and finance from the University of Hawaii. Wides is a member of the Honolulu Rotary Club. Xerox Hawaii opened in 1961 as a one-person office and today has 180 employees.
