Melecio Badua, 81, of Kaunakakai died Sept. 4 at home. Born in the Philippines, he is survived by wife Lily; children Edwin and Brian Mendija, Liberty Baclaan, Cora Harris, Lolita Neizman, Melitor and Jesus Badua, and two daughters in the Philippines; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Robert R. Beck, 60, of Kihei, a retired steel worker, died Thursday in Maui Memorial Hospital.
