Parents of St. Louis School players who took the football trip to Las Vegas last month say the school administration is keeping them in the dark.

Thursday the school announced it was suspending players directly involved with drinking and hiring a stripper during a party Sept. 6 at the World Trade Center Hotel. Parents are angry because they still don't know which players have been suspended.

"You'd think we'd know by now," one man said last night.

The school's probe was conducted by Father Mario Pariante, president of the all-boys school, and announced at a press conference Thursday.

The school also acknowledged that damage to hotel rooms totaled just over $1,000.

Parents concerned with the way Pariante handled the investigation and disciplining of players attended a meeting with attorney Michael Green last night at the St. Louis Alumni Association clubhouse.

Green, who is the attorney for Bishop Estate trustee Lokelani Lindsey, has criticized Pariante's methods.

He had said that Pariante could be in trouble if he issued suspensions to any of the 50 to 60 players placed on probation the week after the team returned from Las Vegas.

Green has said he is a close friend of St. Louis head football coach Cal Lee. He also attended Wednesday night's parents meeting at Bertram Hall.
