Former isle pastor to
speak this week

The Rev. William Aulenbach, former rector of several Episcopal churches in Hawaii, is in Honolulu for speaking engagements this month.

Aulenbach will preach at the 7:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. services tomorrow at Calvary-by-the-Sea Lutheran Church. He will present a seminar on "Life and Death Issues" at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church. He will speak on "The Institution of Marriage" at 7 p.m. Oct. 13 at the church.

He will deliver the sermon at St. Alban's Episcopal Church at Iolani School at the 9:15 a.m. service on Oct. 11.

Aulenbach will discuss his recently published book, "How to Get to Heaven Without Going to Church," at 7 p.m. Oct. 9 at Barnes & Noble Booksellers at Kahala Mall.

He was formerly pastor of the Church of the Holy Nativity, St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Waimanalo and Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Wailuku.
