He most recently was vice president and business banking officer for Bank of America Hawaii. Hoch also worked in commercial lending for First Hawaiian Bank and Tokai Bank of California. While in San Diego, he operated a business, "Around Your Neck", which involved direct sales of apparel.
He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration/finance from the University of Hawaii and a master's degree in business administration from San Diego State University.
