Two firefighters were sent to Queens Hospital after their hazardous
materials unit vehicle flipped over on the H-1 eastbound on-ramp
from Pali Highway yesterday afternoon. The HazMat vehicle's driver
swerved to avoid a truck that pulled in front of it, causing the firefighter
to lose control, Battalion Chief James J. Arciero said.
