He has 26 years experience in the telecommunications industry and most recently had been PrimeCo Hawaii's acting sales and marketing director. Sakauye has worked with U S West Communications, U S Intelco Networks and GTE Mobilnet.
He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Oregon State University and an executive master's degree in business administration from the University of Washington.
