Sea Life Park has promoted Wayne Nielsen to general manager as new projects are under way to revitalize the park. He also will keep his job as retail manager for Attractions Hawaii, owner of Sea Life Park and Waimea Valley Adventure Park. Sea Life Park
names general manager"We've finished 'Splash University', the dolphin encounter where you can learn firsthand about dolphins," Nielsen said. "We've opened the 'Pirates' Lagoon,' which is for toddlers to preteens.
"Hawaii is the dream vacation for tourists and we want our part of that dream to come true for these visitors."
Waimea Valley Adventure Park recently opened "Jungle Trek," featuring a movable maze, rope ladders, tunnels and tube slides. Nielsen has more than 20 years of management experience and joined Sea Life Park Hawaii in September 1997. He also held senior management positions with Liberty House and Crazy Shirts Inc.
