Elvis Presley's long association with Hawaii isn't over yet. What may be the largest collection of Elvis stuff will be auctioned to the public during the first weekend of September.

The collection is that of Honolulu's "Dr. Doo-Wop," whose son Bruno was once considered the world's youngest Elvis impersonator. Doo-Wop has been collecting Presley items for more than 45 years, including some of The King's dress shirts, acetate recording from the film "Clambake," untorn tickets to the 1961 Elvis Arizona Memorial fund-raiser, and even one of Elvis' guitars.

Some of the proceeds will go to the Kui Lee Cancer Fund and toward a bronze plaque recognizing Elvis' contribution to the Arizona Memorial.

Items can be previewed 1 to 8 p.m. Sept. 5 and 8 to 10 a.m. Sept. 6 in the Tropics Room, Hilton Hawaiian Village. Preview admission is $5.

The auction starts at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 6; seated admission is $50 and standing admission is $25, which can be applied toward purchases. Information and reservations: 545-1694.
