Pearl Harbor is lined with ships as the monthlong RIMPAC 98
military exercises near their Thursday close. The biennial exercise
includes military forces from America, Australia, Korea, Japan, Canada
and Chile. The maritime forces enhance their tactical
capabilities by responding to staged scenarios.
