C&K reunite
for 'Journey'

Cecilio and Kapono will reunite for two concerts Labor Day weekend at Honolulu Zoo.

Tickets for "C&K Journey Through the Years" Sept. 5 and 6 are on sale at Connection outlets for $19.73. The ticket price reflects the year 1973, when the duo's journey began. They opened for Frank Zappa at the old Civic Auditorium (near the old stadium).

Tickets will be $24.73 at the door.

Gates on performance day will open at 5:30, with opening acts beginning at 6:30 p.m. C&K will take the stage at 7:50 p.m.

The performance is a benefit for the Honolulu Zoological Society. Funds will help develop a breeding program for elephants Mari and Vaigai. For more information, call the society at 926-3191.

C&K will also tour the West Coast, Japan, Guam and the Marshall Islands.
