She helps companies with performance management and evaluation of employees, hiring and retention policies, and human resources training. Katekaru has 20 years of experience in human resources and recently was senior vice president at Bank of America in Hawaii. She also worked for Kuakini Medical Center, City Bank and Blackfield Hawaii Corp. She is a member of an allocations panel for Aloha United Way and is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management, Hawaii chapter.
She earned a bachelor's in business administration from the University of Hawaii.
