win an Ewa Village houseThe nonprofit group Friends for Ewa is giving away a four-bedroom plantation village home as part of its annual fund-raising effort.
The group is selling logo T-shirts with a six-digit number printed on each. The winning number will be drawn Dec. 6, the fourth day of the second annual Ewa Plantation Carnival & A Hawaiian Style Christmas at New Mahiko Regional Park on Renton Road.
The plantation-style home, valued at more than $220,000, is on 7,500 square feet of fee-simple land in the villages of Ewa.
It is furnished with kitchen amenities and has a washer and dryer in the carport.
Proceeds from T-shirt sales go to support the group's restoration of buildings and infrastructure to create a living, working plantation village.
T-shirt prices are $12 for small to extra large sizes, and $15 for double and triple extra large. No purchase is necessary to obtain a drawing number.
Thousands of Oahu merchants have joined the effort by posting Friends for Ewa posters, and many will be offering discounts to customers wearing the group's T-shirts.
T-shirts can be ordered by calling 681-4300. They will be mailed immediately. They also can be purchased at the Friends for Ewa offices at 91-1235 Renton Road.
