for Aston Hotels

Aston Hotels & Resorts has promoted Joni Paahao to a position where she can develop marketing policies and strategies.

Aston this year was sold to ResortQuest International Inc. of Memphis, Tenn., and now is a public company.

"We want to develop a national brand name and reputation for travelers whose choice is condominium resorts, villas and vacation homes," Paahao said.

She has 20 years of resort industry experience, joined Aston in 1989 and formerly was vice president for sales. Paahao also worked in sales and marketing at the Maui Intercontinental Hotel, Maui Tropical Plantation and Ilikai Hotel. She is a Kamehameha Schools graduate and studied business at University of Hawaii. Paahao is active in the Sales and Marketing Executives, and American Society of Travel Agents. Aston operates 30 condominium resorts and hotels on the four major Hawaiian islands.
