Fantasy hairDEBRA REGO of Rego Styling is happy that she will be the hair stylist for the 12 episodes of "Fantasy Island" that ABC-TV will shoot here, starting July 27. Rego was hair stylist for the "Fantasy" pilot. Last year, Debbie styled hair for cast members of movies on location here, including "George of the Jungle," "Mighty Joe Young," "Godzilla" and "Six Days, Seven Nights." Rego and her makeup pal, Tania Kahale, also attended the wrap party for "Six Days" in L.A. and she says it was "fabulous." She also raved about Harrison Ford, saying, "He's one of the nicest people to work with," even though he had his own hair stylist. Rego is moving her business from College Walk to 1210 Queen St. ...

C.J. Bohanan writes from San Francisco that he took a helicopter ski trip to the Bugaboos, a mountain just outside Alberta, Canada. His guide was Brownie Barnes of Hawaii. A Hawaiian ski guide? he wondered. But he says Brownie is "a beautiful skier, both entertaining and helpful in getting down the 5-mile run." He said Brownie returns to Hawaii every May Day to take in the Brothers Cazimero concert and visit pals such as Sam Kapu Jr. and Brant and Steph Ackerman ...HOKU'S chef Wayne Hirabayashi and manager Ivy Nagayama will hold an asparagus festival in the Kahala Mandarin restaurant July 26-30.
