celebrate achievement in
Hawaii theater

The Hawaii State Theatre Council will honor excellence in local theater at its annual Po'okela Awards ceremony July 27 at the Outrigger Prince Kuhio Hotel. There will be no-host cocktails from 6:30 p.m., heavy pupu at 7 p.m. and the awards presentation will begin at 8 p.m.

Emcees for this year's program will be television personalities Jodie Leong and Keoki Kerr. Tickets are $25 for HSTC members, $35 for nonmembers, and reservations and payment are due by July 22. Call Linda Hearn at 623-2973 for reservations or for more information.
