Hawaii largest residential real estate broker, Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties, has entered the Honolulu commercial real estate business by acquiring the local commercial property firm Wagner & Wagner Inc.

The commercial agents will operate out of the Wagner & Wagner offices at 707 Richards St. under a new name, Coldwell Banker Commercial Pacific Properties.

Scott Bradley, managing director of the Coldwell Banker business here, said the move makes sense because many of the company's residential clients also need help buying or leasing office space.

Chris Wagner, president of the new commercial partnership, said Coldwell Banker has a big employee relocation business and clients who are moving facilities and workers will be able to get commercial and residential real estate help from one business.

Wagner & Wagner has provided commercial real estate leasing and management services since 1981 and the properties it represents include the Davies Pacific Center, Discovery Bay Shopping Center and the Haseko Center.

Coldwell Banker Pacific was formed in 1995 with the merger of four Hawaii real estate brokerages -- Coldwell Banker McCormack, Bradley Properties Ltd., Conley Dew Ltd. and Dolman Associates Ltd.

The locally owned business is a franchise of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corp., a network of more than 2,800 independently owned real estate companies across North America.
