Financial exec
joins bank's 'ohana'

First Investment Center, which primarily sells mutual funds and annuities for First Hawaiian Bank, has chosen Kehaunani Shayler as its sales manager. She comes as part of the bank's purchase of BA Investment Services, a Bank of America company.

"I like the sense of family -- the ohana -- at First Hawaiian Bank," Shayler said.

She has more than 12 years of financial experience and recently was vice president and Hawaii district sales manager for BAIS. Shayler also was as an account executive with GNA Securities in San Diego.

She is finance chairwoman for the Prince Kuhio Hawaiian Civic Club and helped the club set an investment policy for its scholarship fund. For that she received the Helen C. Kane award from the Association of Hawaii Civic Clubs-Oahu Council.

Shayler is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools and earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of San Diego.
