The consolation and championship semifinals are Nov. 24 with the championship set for Nov. 25.

PYEWACKET SHATTERS RECORD: Pyewacket set a record when it was the first yacht to cross the finish line in the West Marine Pacific Cup at 11:38 p.m. last night.
Owned and skippered by Roy Disney, Pyewacket made the 2,070-mile race from San Francisco Bay to Kaneohe Bay in 6 days, 14 hours and 22 minutes. That shattered the 1996 mark of 7 days, 22 hours and 1 minute held by Rage.
Medicine Man and Merlin crossed the finish line this morning to also break the record.
KOP, JAMILA ADVANCE: Defending champion Brandan Kop advanced to today's Manoa Cup quarterfinal round after a pair of victories yesterday at the Oahu Country Club.
Kop defeated Justin Kim, 1-up, in the second-round match yesterday morning and then Michael Lam, 2 and 1, in the afternoon's third round.
Jamila also advanced in the upper bracket with victories over Dennis Sasai, 7 and 6, and Sean Doi, 4 and 3.
Dick Sieradzki, the 1990 champion, was routed by Louis Mexia, 8 and 7, in the third round after both had advanced with morning victories.
Mexia will meet Kop today, while Jamila will face Tony Okano, who beat Stan Souza, last year's runner-up, 4 and 3.
In the lower bracket, Larry Stubblefield ousted medalist Doug Williams, 6 and 4, after beating Parker McLachlin, 3 and 1, in the morning. Will-iams had beaten Keoki Velardo, 2-up, in the morning.
Also advancing in the lower bracket were Alan Creighton, Chad Burrows and Gary Kong.
GUILLERMO IN SEMIS: Samson Guillermo of the Waianae Boxing Club advanced to today's semifinals in the Junior Olympic World Championships in Tijuana, Mexico, by beating Ed Guzman of the Dominican Republic, 4-1, in their 112-pound bout last night.
Guillermo, 15, is the only Hawaii fighter on the USA team.
SHAQ-LED CELEBS TO PEARL CITY: NBA standouts Shaquille O'Neal, Anthony Peeler, Cedric Ceballos and Dale Ellis and PGA pro Landon Jackson will join Hollywood celebs Khalil Kane, Tommy Davidson, Mark Curry, Darius McQuarry, along with WWF star Tiny Lister, aka Zeus, entertainer Fiji and MTV's Anada Lewis at a Celebrity Jock 'N Rock Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at Pearl City High School Gym.

LONGBOARD MEET: Kewalo's Klassik, the Hawaiian Longboard Federation's fourth longboarding event of the season, will be held Saturday at Kewalo Basin. More than 100 contestants will surf for qualifying points for the World Championships.
GOLD AT AAU KARATE: Members of the American Karate Kai and Kick Start Karate of Hawaii took 38 medals at the AAU National Karate Championships in Orlando, Fla.
Double winners (gold in kumite and kata) were Mayrie Aquino, Jeriel Calamayan, Wendell Gambol, Julie Santos and Tamara Agunat.
BOXING AT BAYFEST: Hawaii's top amateur fighters will square off in the AT&T Boxing Challenge July 16 and 17 during Bayfest '98 at Marine Corps Base Hawaii.
There will be eight to 10 bouts each night starting at 6 p.m.

PETE SMITH HOOPS CAMP: Kalaheo High School boys' basketball coach Pete Smith will conduct a basketball camp for boys and girls ages 8-17 Aug. 3-7 at the school gym.
Other instructors at the Fila-sponsored camp will include former University of Hawaii stars Alika Smith and Jarinn Akana, former Chaminade coach Merv Lopes, Kalaheo girls' coach Chico Furtado and former Willamette standout Cavan Scanlan.
Each camper will receive a T-shirt, photo and basketball.
