All-star affair Saturday

Did you ever want to bungee jump but were too afraid of the "jump" part? Why not try the bungee run where your feet never leave the ground.

From 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, sports enthusiast will have a chance to meet some "All-Star" celebrities at the Official All Star Cafe Sports & Music Festival. Event goers will get to see how they "measure up" to the 7-foot-2-inch Shaquille O'Neal, meet Joe Montana, listen to local musical groups including Fiji and Del Beazley, and participate in several games including the Velcro Obstacle Course, Slap Shot Hockey and Bungee Run.

The cafe will also be selling several pupu items at their three food booths. Food scrips will be needed and available for purchase at the event. All other activities are free.

In a separate event, Shaq will be participating in a basketball jam with Anthony Peeler of the Indiana Pacers, Dale Ellis of the Seattle Supersonics and Cedric Ceballos, 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the Pearl City High School Gym. Actors Tommy Davidson, Mark Curry and Darius McQuarry will also shoot some hoops along with local entertainer Fiji, Tiny Lister aka Zeus from the World Wrestling Federation, and Anada Lewis from MTV.

Tickets are $20 pre-sale and $25 at-the-door. Pre-sale tickets are available at all Connection outlets or call 545-4000. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Foster Kids Charity.
