NAGOYA, Japan (AP) -- New yokozuna (grand champion) Wakanohana drove out No. 3 maegashira (senior wrestler) Shikishima on Wednesday, joining four other wrestlers still unbeaten after four days of the 15-day Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament. Wakanohana, four others
remain undefeatedThe others were yokozuna Takanohana, Hawaiian-born ozeki (champion) Musashimaru, sekiwake (junior champion) Chiyotaikai and No. 5 maegashira Tochiazuma.
Yokozuna Akebono from Hawaii and ozeki Takanonami had 3-1 records.
Wakanohana charged Shikishima (2-2) with an arm throw attempt and sent him out.
Takanohana grabbed winless No. 3 maegashira Gojoro's belt and forced him out.
Akebono, or Chad Rowan, held off winless No. 2 maegashira Tochinonada's initial hand thrusts, grabbed his foe's belt and drove him out.
Musashimaru, or Fiamalu Penitani, crashed hard into winless No. 1 maegashira Oginishiki and thrust him down.
Takanonami forced out winless komusubi (junior champion second class) Kaio.
Chiyotaikai thrust out No. 4 maegashira Tochinowaka (0-4), and Tochiazuma bulldozed out equally ranked Ganyu (1-3).
No. 11 maegashira Kyokushuzan, or Mongolian Batbayar Davaa, grabbed No. 13 maegashira Kotoryu's leg and toppled him for his second victory against two defeats. Kotoryu is 3-1.
No. 15 maegashira Kyokutenho, or Mongolian Tsevegnyam Nyamjav, suffered his third defeat against one victory as he was slapped down by No. 1-ranked Toki (4-0) of the juryo division, just below the senior makuuchi division.
In makushita, the top junior division, No. 16-ranked Kaishinzan (1-1), or American Henry Armstrong Miller, pulled down No. 17-ranked Takamihana.
No. 27-ranked Wakaazuma (1-1), or Yoshinobu Kuroda from Brazil, sent out No. 26-ranked Kotonomine from behind.
No. 56-ranked Kitaazuma (1-1), or Brazilian Tetsuya Takeda, toppled equally ranked Tooshinriki.
No. 2-ranked Hoshitango, or Argentine Imach Marcelo Salomon, was forced out by No. 1-ranked Toyozakura, and No. 50-ranked Ikemori, or Brazilian Luis Go Ikemori, was tossed down by equally ranked Daiden.
Hoshitango is 1-1 and Ikemori 0-2.
In sandanme, the second-highest junior division, No. 65-ranked Azumakaze (1-1), or Brazilian Tussato Guiuliano Kotinda, was pushed out by No. 66-ranked Raizan.
Wrestlers in junior divisions have only seven bouts during the 15-day tournament.
