Castillo, McClean share
Kapalua Clambake title

Ron Castillo Jr. and Dick McClean both finished at 1-under par 142s to share low-pro honors at the Ashworth Kapalua Clambake on Maui yesterday.

Castillo, the Hapuna Golf Course head pro, shot a final-round 72. McClean, of Kapalua, finished with a 70.

MACHADO NEXT FOR HO: Former world champion Derek Ho of Hawaii scored a convincing win over Californian Cory Lopez in round two of the Billabong/MSF Pro surf meet at Jeffreys Bay, South Africa, yesterday.

Ho next takes on California's Rob Machado, who beat Brazilian Armando Daltro with the highest score of the day, 25.75.

In round one action, Hawaii's Shawn Sutton, and Andy Irons lost to Australia's Luke Egan. Hawaii's Kalani Robb lost to Australia's Mark Occhilupo.

JONES WINS: Wyatt Jones won the 20th annual Hui O Hee Nalu Paddleboard Race Saturday, covering the 3.5-mile course from Sunset Beach to Waimea Bay in 28 minutes, 52 seconds.

Edmund Pestana was second, in 29:36.

PYWACKET SETS PACE: After another 300-mile day, the yacht Pywacket continues to set the pace in the West Marine Pacific Cup race from San Francisco to Kaneohe.

Handicap division leaders include Water Pik (A), Grey Ghost (B), Millennium Falcon (C), Kaimiloa (D), Ripple (E) and Magnitude (F).
