A controller for
challenging times

Carrie Lee has been promoted to controller at Belt Collins Hawaii as it weathers the Pacific economic downturn.

"The economic situation in Asia, together with Hawaii's depressed economy, has made business quite a challenge for us," Lee said. "We continue to rely on both private and public sector projects here in the islands and in the Pacific, while working with our Orlando office to look for new opportunities on the mainland and in Central and South America."

She joined Belt Collins Hawaii in 1995 as assistant controller. Lee, a certified public accountant, also worked as an auditor and tax associate with Coopers & Lybrand LLP.

Lee earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, specializing in accounting and international relations, from the University of Hawaii.

Belt Collins has completed more than 8,000 projects in the last 45 years.
