Takejiro “Jiro” Arakaki, 78, of Honolulu, a retired Pacific Concrete heavy equipment operator, died May 31 in Beverly Manor Convalescent Center. He was born in Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by brothers Takezo, Takemitsu and Yoshio, and sisters Kikuyo Urasaki, Violet Arakaki, Nancy Shigekawa, Betsy Nakanishi, Barbara Oshiro and Jane Park. Private services.

Rosalie K. “Maggie” Barboza,73, of Pearl City died June 2 in St. Francis-West Hospice. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by daughters Diana Lopes, June Tsue and Christine Pacrem; brother George Jones, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Aileen Mae Lindsey Barros, 50, formerly of Kamuela, Hawaii, a business administrator, died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was founding president of Waimea Main Street and the Waimea Preservation Association and president of Waimea Hawaiian Homesteaders Association. She is survived by husband Robert; daughter Roxanne N. Vincent; sons Travis and Frank Barros and Liberty Luke; sister Annelle Freeman, and eight grandchildren. Glenn M. Gusukuma, 33, of Kailua, an administration assistant for Knipes and Associates, died May 30 in St. Francis Hospice. He was born in Honolulu. Walter E.M. “Mike” Irvine, 59 of Hilo, a retiree of the U.S. Air Force, died Wednesday in Hilo Hospital. He was born in Honolulu. Yasuo Ogata, 88, of Honolulu, formerly of Hilo, retired owner of Olaa Steak House, died June 2. He was born in Mountain View, Hawaii. He is survived by daughters Isabell and Lillian Ogata, Doris Amano and Janice Maeda, and six grandchildren. Private services.

Pong Hee Pak, 87, of Honolulu died Sunday in Honolulu. She was born in Seoul, Korea. She is survived by son Thomas T.W. Albaro S. Saniatan, 90, of Honolulu, a retired maintenance man for Kamehameha Schools, died June 1 in Honolulu.
