Promoting cross-promotions

Bob Taylor will lead the nonprofit Hawaii Attractions Association as it seeks new ways to promote aloha for visitors to Hawaii.

Last year, the group's 20 members had 8.5 million visits and spent more than $15 million in advertising and promotions.

Taylor is president of Maui Divers Jewelry Design Center in Honolulu.

He did audits for Maui Divers while working for Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. and also worked for Tropical Rent A Car and Foremost Dairies-Hawaii.

Taylor earned a bachelor's degree in business administration/accounting from California State University at Northridge and a master's degree in business administration from the University of California at Los Angeles.
