Mina promoted to
head of M&E Pacific

Rudy Mina takes over the leadership of M&E Pacific Inc., one of the state's largest full-service engineering companies.

"We're looking to increase our international business," Mina said. He has more than 25 years of design and management experience and most recently was the company's vice president and senior project manager in architectural/engineering design. Mina was responsible for civil design, military and hazardous/toxic waste projects throughout Hawaii and the Pacific.

Mina worked three years for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, six years with the U.S. Naval Shipyard at Pearl Harbor. He began his career at Muroda & Associates. He earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Hawaii.

M&E Pacific was originally established in 1959 as Sunn Low Tom & Hara. The company now is a subsidiary of Metcalf & Eddy Companies Inc., based in Wakefield, Mass.
