Worldwide surf site
spots the swells

The savvy surfer will get a jump on everyone else by starting out on Surfline at http://www.surfline.com.

The collection of live surf cams and updated surf reports is run out of Huntington Beach, Calif., but has its eye trained on Hawaii.

Offering a comprehensive source of beach weather and surf reports available on the Internet, the commercial site lets you check the surf, wind, weather and tides -- here and at surf sites around the world.

The rotating camera trained on Oahu's South Shore spots the improving south swell.

Over on the North Shore, Pipeline looks flat, but it looks like a good beach day anyway.
