Investment banking company A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc. has chosen Toby Martyn to head its new office in Honolulu. Martyn leads A.G. Edwards' local effort
St. Louis-based A.G. Edwards, which has 590 brokerage offices in the United States, is looking for a downtown location to be the company's first office in Hawaii and 13th U.S. regional investment banking office.
Martyn has 16 years of experience in the municipal bond industry with a background in investment banking, sales, trading and underwriting and portfolio management. He worked most recently at Ha-waiian Capital Securities, which he helped set up in 1991.
At A.G. Edwards, he will work closely with Brian Colon, vice president of the firm's investment banking office in Denver, who worked with Martyn in Hawaii.
Martyn grew up in Hawaii and earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Florida.
