PRESTO: David Copperfield's magic is magnificent. The illusions and tricks he pulls off at the Concert Hall are incredible and mind-boggling. Besides flying through the air with a guest, and other amazing tricks, he's a compleat showman and is quick with the lip and quip. Thursday I reminded him that when I reviewed his first isle show in the early 1970s, he asked me how he could improve his act. Since he is now superstar, I told him I felt that I deserve a financial cut. "I'm saving up for it," said the multi-millionaire ... Devon Guard was dancing in the Pagoda John Rowles show when Copperfield was booked there. Devon, with husband, Tim, and Chuck and Maureen Rolles at Tuesday's show, gave David a lei and kiss. THERE were a couple of unusual dishwashers at Swiss Inn on Mother's Day. Markus Biedermann and Leo Simettiger, both of Seinfelden, Switzerland, wanted to show appreciation for their stay with Swiss Inn owners Martin and Jeanie Wyss. So they washed dishes. On this U.S. visit, Markus, 34, a lean 6-foot-4, bicycled 3,700 miles from Florida to Seattle in 40 days, with 70 pounds of belongings on the bike. He cycled off 20 of his own pounds. Sadly, Markus, Leo and two Swiss pals lost their new golf clubs to a thief who stole them from their car trunk ...
