Hawaii is many things, including a beautiful place to behold. Cameras keep Web
watch on HawaiiThat must be why there are so many live cameras popping up on the Internet trained on Hawaii.
Here are three new ones, including one that is underwater.
If you want to watch the sharks and such at the Waikiki Aquarium, take a dip at the CoralCam at the Waikiki Aquarium http://www.mic.hawaii.edu/aquarium/coralcam. You get a view of what is swimming by in the aquarium's 35,000-gallon exhibit.
Another live camera run from the University of Hawaii at Manoa is trained at the front door to Hamilton Library at http://www.uhm.Hawaii.edu/liveshot.html.
Finally, for a journey to the Big Island, jump to http://www.hilton.com/hotels/KOAHWHH/webcam.html where the Hilton Internet camera provides live views from the Hilton Waikoloa Village.
Be patient with the hotel folks; the site is very busy.
"Home on the Web" is a weekly Friday feature of the Star-Bulletin.
