Bringing technology into focus

Rare & Dear Inc., an information management consulting company, has named Blaine Stuart Land as senior manager.

"Our industry undergoes constant change and one of these is optic technology," Land said.

He said Rare & Dear will be focusing on that technology as it woos clients in the utility industry, tourism and other sectors.

Land has more than 20 years of industry experience and most recently was a manager in the technical architecture group of Deloitte Consulting in Chicago. He also was a senior information technology consultant to the Southern Co. and HBO and Co. in Atlanta, and for Cincinnati Bell Information Systems in Orlando, Fla.

Land received training in systems science and hardware design from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Fla., and in computer science from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Fla.
