Mauna Loa Resources Inc. has promoted Daryle S. Nekoba to assistant vice president/corporate secretary. The company is the managing partner of Mauna Loa Macadamia Partners L.P., and a subsidiary of C. Brewer and Co. Ltd. Moving up at Mauna Loa
"My duties include such matters as corporate governance, records management, the regulation and trading of securities, proxy solicitation and other shareholder activities, and the administration of the office of corporate secretary," Nekoba said.
Nekoba was administrative assistant to J.W.A. "Doc" Buyers, C. Brewer's chairman, for eight years. When C. Brewer moved to Hilo March 1, Nekoba transferred to Mauna Loa Resources Inc.
She was born in Honolulu and moved to California when four years old. Nekoba worked 10 years for Los Angeles County. She returned in 1976, working at the Kahala Hilton and Halekulani hotels.
