Foodland celebrated its 50th anniversary yesterday by turning
its Market City store into a scene from the '50s. Above, Sam
Bohol shows off his 1957 Chevrolet, which was on display.
Below, former U.S. Sen. Hiram Fong helped members of the
Maurice J. Sullivan family, founders of Foodland, by bagging
groceries for Bill Medeiros of Kaimuki. The bagging was part
of a fund-raiser for Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
